Governor Parson announces new scholarship for State of Missouri team members
October 11, 2019
Yesterday, Governor Mike Parson announced an exciting new scholarship opportunity for State of Missouri team members through Western Governors University. He made the announcement Thursday during the Missouri as a Model Employer Talent Showcase in the Missouri State Capitol.
The scholarship, called “Show Me Your Triumph,” will award at least 10 State of Missouri team members a $5,000 scholarship each.
The scholarship is available to all State of Missouri team members. It is not a requirement to have a disability to receive this scholarship, but Western Governors University will take a closer look at the applicants with a disability.
Interested applicants have until July 31, 2020 to apply. Applicants are asked to submit an essay explaining what obstacle they had to overcome.
